Turner leads qualifying for U.S. Women's Amateur Championship

DOUGLASVILLE - Leigh Turner of Alpharetta led qualifying for the U.S. Women's Amateur Championship in Douglasville by shooting a five-under-par 67 at the Chapel Hills Golf Club.<br>

Celeste Troche of Paraguay finished second Monday with a 70 on the par 72 course, followed by Sara Jacobs of White's Creek, Tennessee, (71) and Jessica Lovell of Birmingham, Alabama (72.)<br>
<br>
The top eight qualifiers advance to the U.S. Women's Amateur Championship, which is being held at Sleepy Hollow Country Club in Scarborough, New York, August 12-17.
