DECATUR - Police were still searching Sunday for an escaped prisoner who had been sentenced to life in jail for armed robbery, kidnapping and aggravated assault. <br>

David Franklin Clark escaped from the DeKalb County Jail Saturday around 10:45 a.m. by assuming the identity of a prisoner who was supposed to be released, said jail chief Dennis Cheatham. <br>

Clark was being held at the DeKalb County Jail while he awaited a transfer to a state prison, authorities said.
