ATLANTA - An employee at a metro Atlanta gas station was shot this morning during an attempted robbery. <br>

Police said the victim, who has not been identified, was shot in the stomach at 11:25 a.m. at a Stop N Buy station. <br>

He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. His condition was not immediately known. <br>

The shooting is the third at a metro Atlanta convenience store in the past week. <br>
<br>
Last Monday night, a clerk was slain during a robbery at the Texaco mini-market on Lawrenceville Highway. <br>
<br>
Early Thursday, a clerk at an Exxon station in east Cobb County was shot to death.
