Forty-year-old Theodore Ralph Horne was arrested yesterday after a 10-minute standoff with Jackson County deputies at the Cumbest Bluff Quick Stop store.
Jackson County Sheriff Mike Byrd said the National Crime Investigation Center alerted the department to look out for Horne.
Horne was out on bond on three charges of child molestation and an aggravated stalking charge in Spalding County, Georgia.
Police said Horne followed his estranged wife Kimberly Marie Horne to the convenience store after trailing her on Highway 63.
When deputies arrived and approached Horne, he retrieved a nine millimeter handgun from his truck and pointed it at his chest.
He surrendered when a deputy assured him he could talk to Kimberly Horne.
