JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA - A plane bound for Atlanta and Washington, D.C. was delayed for more than an hour Thursday at Jacksonville International Airport when three people bypassed a security checkpoint.
A spokesman said an AirTran Airways employee and her two young children used an employee entrance to bypass the passenger security checkpoint as they went to board a flight.
An airport official said they were spotted on security cameras by airport security, prompting all 68 passengers to be taken off the plane and rescreened. No contraband was found.
Flight 60 was scheduled to leave about 10:10 a.m., but left about 11:30 a.m.
The employee and her children, whose names and ages were not released, were detained for questioning and not on the flight.
