May building activity report

GAINESVILLE - Construction activity in Gainesville and Hall County continued to rebound last month.

New housing starts in Gainesville totaled thrity-five, for work expected to cost $3.6 million.

In unincorporated Hall County, 128 such permits were approved for another $19 million in construction.

The city-county building inspection department reports that May numbers were bolstered by more than $12.5 million in commercial-industrial additions and renovations.
