GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO - A woman who disappeared last fall along with her 6-year-old daughter has been found dead, her body deposited in a landfill.
Jennifer Blagg, 34, died of a gunshot wound and her death was a homicide, Mesa County Sheriff Riecke Claussen said after the body was found Wednesday. Blagg's daughter, Abby, remains missing.
Blagg's husband, Michael, reported the two missing on Nov. 13. He told authorities he returned home from work to find a pool of blood in the master bedroom and his wife and daughter gone.
Authorities say they have not ruled out Michael Blagg as a suspect, but no one has been arrested in the case.
Michael Blagg left Grand Junction in May, and investigators believe he is in Warner Robins, Ga., 120 miles southeast of Atlanta. No telephone listing for him was available.
