TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA - Kris Billmaier had four hits and five RBIs as Notre Dame knocked off Florida State 10-4, ending the Seminole's 25-game winning streak and putting the Fighting Irish a win away from their first College World Series since 1957. <br>

Heading into the seventh inning tied at four, Notre Dame (48-15) scored two on a Billmaier single. The Fighting Irish scored four more in the eighth on Steve Sollman's and Brian Stavisky's RBI singles and another two-run single from Billmaier. <br>

Billmaier's first RBI came on a single in the third. <br>

Grant Johnson (9-4) gave up four runs on seven hits, walked six and struck out two in six innings. J.P. Gagne struck out four Seminoles and gave up just two hits while pitching the final three innings to earn his fifth save of the season. <br>

Lynch (13-2) gave up six runs on 10 hits, struck out four and walked two in six and one-third innings. <br>

The Seminoles, who gave up early leads in all three of their regional wins last weekend, fell behind Notre Dame 2-0 in the first on a two-run Stavisky homer, his eighth of the year. <br>

FSU tied the game in the fourth on Tony Richie's solo homer and a RBI groundout from Stephen Drew, the younger brother of St. Louis Cardinal outfielder J.D. Drew. <br>

The best-of-three series continues Saturday, with Florida State's Blair Varnes (9-3) facing Notre Dame's Pete Ogilvie (7-3).
