The Gainesville High School Cheerleaders earned team and individual awards at The University of Georgia Cheerleader camp.<br>

The Junior Varsity squad earned a superior chant ribbon and an excellent cheer ribbon. The basketball squad earned a superior chant ribbon, an excellent cheer ribbon as well as the spirit stick.<br>

The football/competition squad earned a superior chant ribbon, a superior cheer ribbon, jump award and Top Team Finalist designation.<br>

Individual awards were won by Dana Chiulli and Leigh Anne Gross who were named to the National Cheerleading Association All American Team. Leigh Anne Gross was selected out of 700 cheerleaders as the cheerleader who most exhibits the qualities of a cheerleader. The award includes a cash award towards college as well as an invitation to try out for the UGA cheerleading squad next year.<br>
