GAINESVILLE - Touch-screen voting machines will replace the electronic scanning machines used in Hall County elections for the past several years - starting with this year's August primaries.
Elections director Anne Phillips says you will get a chance to try them out between now and then. Phillips says they'll be on display at such places as libraries and supermarkets.
Phillips says 276 of the machines have been delivered and will be ready for use in August. Another 25 should be here for the November General Election.
Earlier in the year, Phillips was not sure that the machines would be available in time for the primaries.
