Rome News-Tribune editor Lucas moving to Panama City, Florida

ROME - Phil Lucas -- editor of the Rome News-Tribune -- has resigned to become editor of The News Herald in Panama City, Florida. <br>

Lucas came to Rome from the Opelika-Auburn (Alabama) News and had been editor in Rome since 1999. <br>
<br>
He will begin his new duties in July. <br>
<br>
Burgett H. Mooney the third, publisher of the Rome News-Tribune, said the search for a new editor will begin immediately.
