Man held on rape, kidnapping charges

ATLANTA - A man accused of kidnapping a woman from a MARTA station parking lot and raping her in an abandoned northwest Atlanta home early Tuesday was arrested later that day, police said. <br> <br> The suspect, who has not been identified, forced the 56-year-old woman into her car about 12:30 a.m. at the Lindbergh MARTA station parking lot, Atlanta police Sgt. John Quigley said. <br> <br> The man then drove her to a northwest Atlanta neighborhood, raped her, and stole her car. Authorities said the woman was left bound and gagged in an abandoned house on Grandview Avenue. <br> <br> The man, believed to be in his 20s, was charged with rape, kidnapping and auto theft. Police arrested him just before 2 p.m. after spotting the woman&#39;s car.
