Video store won't reopen after shootings

ANNISTON, ALABAMA - Company officials say the Blockbuster Video store where four people were shot to death last week will not reopen at the same location. <br> <br> Spokesman Randy Hargrove said, ``We are going to continue with a presence in Anniston, but in the immediate future we are going to be looking for another potential site.&#39;&#39; <br> <br> Company officials made the decision after speaking with employees and city officials. Two Blockbuster Video employees and two customers were shot to death during a robbery of the store. <br> <br> Flowers and memorials now adorn the front of the building. <br> <br> Hargrove said, ``That was a store that had operated in Anniston more than 13 years. While certainly no one can ever forget what happened, we are looking for how we can move forward. We discussed a lot of possibilities, and the general feeling was that it is important that we keep a Blockbuster in Anniston.&#39;&#39; <br> <br> Forty-eight-year-old Donald Ray Wheat has been arrested in connection with the killings and jailed on one million dollars bond. Police have said he will be charged with capital murder, but had not done so Thursday. <br> <br> Wheat has been charged with killing a grocery store owner in Bowdon, Georgia, on May 10.
