NEW YORK - The proposed move of the Charlotte Hornets to New Orleans has moved a step closer to reality. The NBA's Relocation Committee unanimously supported the move Thursday and all that remains now is formal approval by the owners.
The league's 29 owners will meet May tenth to discuss the move. Fifteen votes are needed for approval.
If the move is given the OK, it would be the second franchise move in two years in the NBA. Vancouver moved to Memphis last season.
