Recruit from Florida wants to follow Anderson to UAB

FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS - A high school basketball player from Florida who signed to become an Arkansas Razorback has asked for a release from his commitment. <br> <br> Brandon Tobias, a 6-foot7 forward from Dillard High School at Fort Lauderdale, Fla., now wants to enroll at Alabama-Birmingham. <br> <br> Former Arkansas assistant Mike Anderson was hired as head coach at UAB after he briefly served as interim head coach at Arkansas following Nolan Richardson&#39;s firing. <br> <br> Tobias signed with Arkansas in November, when Richardson was still at the helm of the Razorback program, and Anderson was chief recruiter. <br> <br> Anderson was interviewed for the head coaching job at Arkansas, but the post went instead to Stan Heath, who had been head coach at Kent State.
