Reds put Hamilton on disabled list

CINCINNATI - The Cincinnati Reds placed starting pitcher Joey Hamilton on the 15-day disabled list and recalled right-hander Jose Acevedo from AAA Louisville Tuesday. Hamilton was a collegiate star pitcher at Georgia Southern. <br> <br> Hamilton strained his left hamstring while covering first base Monday night during the Reds&#39; 8-5 victory over Milwaukee. He was the Reds&#39; opening day starter and was 2-1 with a 3.10 ERA.
