WAYCROSS - Rich-Seapak Corp. announced Friday that it will launch a food processing operation here, promising a $1.5 million annual payroll and the employment of more than 75 people. <br>

A 26,700-square-foot building in the Waycross-Ware County Industrial Park will house the company's Farm Rich Products line of frozen foods shrimp, snacks and appetizers. <br>

The plant will employ 55 people at start-up, company officials said, and that number will rise to 77 very quickly. Operations should begin in 60 to 90 days. <br>

Rich-Seapak has been headquartered on St. Simons Island for more than 53 years and markets its products under the brands Seapak Shrimp Company, and Farm Rich, The Appetizer Company. Its products include a variety of breaded and unbreaded shrimp, cheese sticks, french toast sticks, onion rings and a variety of other appetizers.
