MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE - Accredo Health Inc. plans to add about 550 jobs at its Memphis headquarters during the next three years, company officials said.
Another 50 workers will be transferred to Memphis when the company moves the headquarters of subsidiary Sunrise Medical from Atlanta, said Chief Financial Officer Joel Kimbrough.

The largest group of new workers will be employees trained to seek reimbursement from insurance companies for patient products and services, Kimbrough said. Pay will average $30,000.
Accredo also plans $11.5 million in improvements for its Memphis headquarters. Kimbrough said the company plans to lease an additional 60,000 square feet of space in its current building.
Accredo Health provides specialized contract pharmacy and related services under agreements with biotechnology drug manufacturers.
The company's shareholders will vote next month on the proposed purchase of the Specialty Pharmaceutical Services division of New York-based Gentiva Health Services.
Kimbrough said many of the new jobs would be related to that acquisition.
