HAVANA - No Greg Maddux or Andruw Jones for this game. Still, former President Carter was going to the ballpark to watch Cuban all-stars Tuesday night, and Fidel Castro was expected to tag along.
Carter, a native of Plains, says the game ``may be the high point of my visit.'' He says he and his wife are fanatic followers of the Atlanta Braves.
The game will be held after one of Carter's most important events during his five-day visit, which began Sunday. Earlier this evening, Carter was giving a speech to the Cuban people that was to be broadcast live across the island.
Castro's government had earlier invited Carter to attend a game during his visit, but he didn't confirm until after he arrived on the island.
