Bail set for 'missing' movie manager

ALPHARETTA - Bail was set Tuesday in Bellingham, Wash. for an Alpharetta movie manager accused of theft. The $75,000 bail is close to the amount reported missing from the theater he managed. <br> <br> Michael Joseph Houser, 23, of Roswell, was missing for more than a week before authorities stopped him Monday at the Canadian border, about 100 miles north of Seattle. Police also found $51,000 and a handgun in his newly purchased pickup truck. <br> <br> &#39;&#39;... to find him alive with a new truck and this quantity of cash was enough for us to pursue an arrest warrant,&#39;&#39; Alpharetta police officer Chris Lagerbloom said Wednesday. <br> <br> Houser is accused of taking $75,000 in proceeds from the ``Spiderman&#39;&#39; movie. He was last seen May 5 at the United Artists Theater in Alpharetta. His car was found in a parking lot in Brentwood, Tenn. Police said he bought a truck in Tennessee before heading toward Canada. <br> <br> Houser was stopped by customs agents while trying to enter Canada at the Blaine, Wash., border crossing, officials said. He was being held in nearby Bellingham, awaiting extradition proceedings.
