Coach Alan Kaufman said the second hear McDowell came back stronger and still hit the ball straight and the third year he came back with the total package.<br>

He is considered one of the top golfers in the NCAA and will be among the favorites in the East Regional beginning Thursday in Roswell, Georgia.<br>

The two-time Conference USA Golfer of the Year is coming off his sixth tournament win of the season and his third straight Atlanta Intercollegiate victory.
