Officials are considering a bank's electrical system as a possible cause of an early morning blaze yesterday.
Fire officials said SunTrust Bank in northwest Atlanta sustained heavy smoke, heat and water damage. No injuries were reported.
The call came in about 2:30 a.m. Thursday at the bank near Fulton County Airport-Brown Field on Fulton Industrial Road.
Authorities said there was no sign of forced entry. An undisclosed amount of money in the bank was not damaged. It was in a safe inside a two-ton vault door.
Battalion Chief Bill Brockman said the worst damage was around the vault door near a window.
``It's pretty heavy damage. I think it burned for a while," Brockman said.
