Ernst & Young to hire 46 from Andersen's Atlanta office

ATLANTA - Ernst and Young has agreed to hire about 46 employees from Arthur Andersen&#39;s practice in Atlanta. <br> <br> Ernst and Young also said earlier Tuesday it will take over Andersen&#39;s tax and audit groups in various U.S. locations. The company has already absorbed many of Andersen&#39;s overseas operations. <br> <br> The Atlanta deal involves 40 audit professionals and as many as six support and administrative staff members. <br> <br> Five Andersen partners will become partners at Ernst and Young, which will have a total of a thousand employees in Atlanta. <br> <br> Last week, Ernst and Young said it would hire about 400 employees from Andersen&#39;s Chesapeake practice. <br> <br> That practice includes offices in Baltimore, Richmond, Virginia, and Vienna, Virginia along with nine partners and 45 other workers from Andersen&#39;s Nashville, Tennessee and Louisville, Kentucky offices.
