NORMAN, OKLAHOMA - Rashaad Carruth plans to transfer from Kentucky to Oklahoma to play basketball.
The 6-foot-5 sophomore guard was a McDonald's high school All-American at Oak Hill Academy in Virginia before signing with the Wildcats. He said he's leaving Kentucky because of a disagreement with Wildcats coach Tubby Smith.
Carruth was not recruited by Oklahoma, but said he noticed the team as it advanced in the NCAA tournament to the Final Four.
Carruth visited Norman last weekend and played pickup games with current Sooners players and said he likes the entire team.
Under NCAA rules, Carruth would have to sit out one year after transferring and would have three years of eligibility remaining, beginning with the 2003-04 season.
