A recent audit showed the money went unaccounted for between January of last year and March 26, 2002. Pam Koslow, 45, was charged with theft by taking after reportedly telling police she took some money while working at the court.
Municipal Court Judge Jim Wilbanks said better checks on court money have been instituted to prevent theft.
A court date for Koslow had not been set last week, said Conasauga Judicial Circuit Prosecutor Kermit McManus.
