VALLEY, ALABAMA - Authorities were hoping to identify the body of a man found floating in the Chattahoochee River near Valley. <br>

Valley police said the body was found about 9:15 p.m. Thursday at the Riverview Boat Landing. <br>

Harris County (Ga.) Sheriff Mike Jolley said the body was taken to the Georgia Crime Lab in Columbus to help determine the cause of death. <br>
<br>
Police believe the man may have been dead for about 2-4 weeks.
