CUMMING - School officials in Forsyth County are making some changes in next year's proposed school calendar in the wake of some parental concerns.
They have reduced the number of proposed teacher training half-days and changed plans to begin each school day 15 minutes earlier than this year.
The number of half-days was reduced to six from the original fifteen. Under the revised plan, the school day in Forsyth County would start five minutes earlier next year - not 15.
Parental concern centered on earlier bus route schedules and after-school care on the early-release days.
