HEBRON, KENTUCKY - A Cincinnati airport spokesman says a bag believed to contain a knife that made it through security has been found, but there was no knife in it.
Spokesman Ted Bushelman says security officials at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport didn't immediately say what the item was that caused the closure of the Delta terminal for 90 minutes Monday morning.
Bushelman says the terminal was closed after a baggage screener reported seeing a knife in a bag when it went through an X-ray machine. He says another security worker stopped the wrong bag, and the one thought to contain a knife got through.
Bushelman says officials had planned to make passengers go back through the security check, but the bag and the person carrying it were found without resorting to the extra check.
Delta spokeswoman Kristi Tucker says the airline's Cincinnati flights are running about two hours late.
