LOS ANGELES - Part of a terminal at Los Angeles International Airport was evacuated for two hours Monday for investigation of a possible security problem.
What caused the concern and the extent of the evacuation's impact on flights were not immediately known, said Harold Johnson, a spokesman for the city airports department.
At 9:20 a.m. airport police were notified by the federally controlled passenger screening station at Terminal 7 of a "possible security breach," Johnson said.
Johnson said it was determined that there was no real threat and passengers were allowed back in within two hours.
