ATLANTA - A woman who embezzled more than $700,000 from her non-profit employer and invested much of it in a private business venture that offered entertainment by nude male dancers has been sentenced to three years and five months in federal prison.
Thirty-six-year-old Janice Marie Sanders of Doraville also must pay $726,529 in restitution and serve three years supervised release. She was sentenced Monday.
Sanders pleaded guilty in January to embezzlement charges and admitted arranging to have 737 checks, totaling about $715,348, issued to herself and the dance group, ``Hot Chocolate LLC,'' between February 1996 and July 2001.
