DAHLONEGA- The North Georgia College and State University baseball team split a Conference doubleheader with Shorter College Monday.<br>

The Saints won the opening game 3-1, and were edged by the Hawks 5-4 in the nightcap in games rain-delayed from Saturday.<br>

North Georgia is 23-17 overall, 7-7 in the Georgia-Alabama-Carolina Conference. Shorter is 14-13, 7-8 in the GACC.<br>

Meanwhile, the University of Georgia gets back in baseball action Tuesday afternoon. The Diamond Dogs are slated to host Tennessee Tech, beginning at 4PM.<br>

The sixth-ranked Georgia Tech baseball team will host in-state foe Georgia Southern for a two-game midweek series at Russ Chandler Stadium. First pitch for Tuesday's game is set for 7PM, while Wednesday's contest will begin at 4 PM. <br>

Johnson alum Josh Vandiver continues his power surge at Georgia State. Vandiver had two homers, including a two-run home run in the fourth, and a grand slam in the seventh, and drove in six in an 11-8 win Sunday at Miami of Ohio.<br>
<br>
Vandiver's 6RBI, are reportedly a season high for him.<br>
