The Women's United Soccer Association said Wednesday that its second title game would be held August 24 at Herndon Stadium, home of the Atlanta Beat.
The announcement came two days after Maryland won the NCAA men's basketball championship at the Georgia Dome,
The inaugural WUSA Founders Cup game was held at Foxboro Stadium. The Beat lost to the Bay Area CyberRays in penalty kicks before a crowd of more than 21,000.
The Beat is moving to 15,000-seat Herndon Stadium, on the downtown Morris Brown campus. The team played its first season at Georgia Tech's 42,000-seat Bobby Dodd Stadium.
The Georgia Tech facility was unavailable due to renovations.
A year ago, the Beat averaged a surprising 11,179 for its home games. The league average attendance was about 8,200.
