COLUMBIA, S.C. - Five South Carolina pitchers combined on a seven-hit shutout Wednesday as the fourth-ranked Gamecocks defeated Wofford 11-0. <br>

South Carolina (24-6) had 13 hits and scored in every inning but the second, with Drew Meyer and Trey Dyson hitting home runs. <br>

Meyer hit his third homer of the season in the fourth inning, and Dyson his ninth with one on base in the fifth inning. Yaron Peters had four hits, including a double, and drove in a run to increase his season total to 45 in 30 games. Garris Gonce had two hits, including a triple, and Meyer had two hits. Kevin Melillo had a double. <br>

Steve Casey and Tony Carbone had two hits apiece for Wofford. All of the Terrier hits were singles. <br>

Chris Spigner (2-0) earned the win for the Gamecocks. Nick Hewitt (0-1) took the loss.
