Jacksonville beats Gators 7-2

JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA - Jacksonville&#39;s Alex Jamieson hit a three-run first-inning homer as the Dolphins defeated Florida 7-2 Wednesday. <br> <br> Three Jacksonville pitchers held Florida (24-7) to a season-low four hits. Starter Kris Regas (2-5) picked up the win giving up four hits and two runs while striking out four in five innings pitched. <br> <br> Ryan Courson pitched a hitless three innings and Bryan Williams pitched the final inning to give the Dolphins (15-15) the win. <br> <br> Florida starter Matt Foster (1-1) took the loss, giving up four runs on four hits in 1/3 inning. <br> <br> After scoring four in the first, Jacksonville extended its lead to 5-1 in the second when B.J. Weed reached base on a third strike wild pitch and scored on Chad Oliva&#39;s RBI single. <br> <br> The Gators cut the lead to 5-2 in the fourth inning on a walk and steal by Aaron Davidson and Brian Rose&#39;s RBI single. <br> <br> But Jacksonville&#39;s Chad Hauseman hit a solo home run in the fifth and the Dolphins added another run in the eighth on Chris Reier&#39;s RBI ground out for the final margin.
