Bond set for woman accused of attacking teacher's aide

DECATUR - Bond has been set at $100,000 for a DeKalb County mother accused of beating a teacher&#39;s aide with a cell phone. <br> <br> At yesterday&#39;s Magistrate Court hearing, prosecutor Fatima Ziyad described Lalindus Cater, 41, as a flight risk, pointing out she didn&#39;t surrender to police, but was apprehended seven days after the attack. <br> <br> Cater faces aggravated battery charges stemming from the March 27 attack on a first-grade teacher&#39;s aide. Police said Cater beat Dawn Martin, 43, with a cell phone and coffee mug in a classroom full of students at Canby Lane Elementary School. <br> <br> Cater had said her daughter was spanked at the school. School officials and Martin have denied hitting the child. <br> <br> Cater had been missing since March 27th.
