CARTERSVILLE - Bartow County Sheriff's officers have arrested a man accused of killing a Philadelphia jewelry store owner and his employee during an armed robbery 11 years ago.
Gary Mark Armstrong, 36, of Taylorsville was arrested in a bowling alley parking lot about 11 p.m. Wednesday, sheriff's Lt. Greg Clark said.

``We wanted to make sure we got him away from his house, because he had four children at home,'' Clark said Thursday. ``But, the arrest went very well, and he did not resist.''
Armstrong was wanted in the June 11, 1991 deaths of Moisey Zusin and Leonid Khanovich at the Gold Connection jewelry store at 52 S. 60th St. in Philadelphia. Zusin, who owned the Gold Connection, was 35, and Khanovich was 19.
Philadelphia Police Sgt. Charles McMullin said two investigators from the city's cold case unit, Jim Dougherty and Charles Brown, re-interviewed witnesses and revisited evidence in the case, leading to warrants being issued for Armstrong.
Police then contacted Bartow Sheriff's Sgt. Robert Moultrie. ``I really want to thank the police department down there. They did an excellent job,'' McMullin said.
By talking to Armstrong's mother, Clark said Philadelphia Police were able to determine that Armstrong lived near Taylorsville, but the address she gave was wrong.

``We were able to track down the correct address and place his house under surveillance,'' Clark said.
To avoid involving Armstrong's family in the arrest, officers decided to strike while he was away from home.
Maj. Carlos Millsap, director of the Warrants Division, said Armstrong waived extradition and will be taken back to Philadelphia in the next 10 days.
