ATLANTA - Kelley Rhino had two interceptions and a 75-yard fumble return for a touchdown as the defense set a decided tone Saturday in Georgia Tech's first scrimmage of spring drills.
Jonathan Cox and Jack Rogers also had interceptions during the 90-play session.
``I thought our defense was way ahead of our offense,'' coach Chan Gailey said. ``It was pretty ragged. Some individuals made some plays, but our consistency was really lacking.''
A.J. Suggs, the transfer from Tennessee expected to claim the quarterback slot, completed four of eight passes for 38 yards, including a 7-yard TD to Rahshan Johnson. Damarius Bilbo, a redshirt freshman, connected with Kerry Watkins on a 26-yard scoring pass and also had a 23-yard run.
Tailback Sidney Ford did not participate because of a rib injury. Sophomore Jimmy Dixon had 35 yards and one touchdown on 15 carries and Gordon Clinkscale had two touchdowns and 38 yards on 14 carries.
