Cleanup expected to end by Friday in house where animals were hoarded

LILBURN - Cleanup is scheduled to be finished by Friday at a house in Lilburn where a woman was charged with animal cruelty after police found at least three dead cats and dozens of other animals locked inside. <br> <br> Police say Sharon Smith was keeping at least 50 cats and ten dogs in her home. The two-story house was filled with animal waste. <br> <br> Gwinnett County Corporal Ray Dunlap says every animal removed from the home was so sick it had to be euthanized. Most of the animals had upper respiratory infections. <br> <br> An environmental hazard crew is cleaning up the property. <br> <br> Police discovered the animals after receiving a complaint from a neighbor.
