The Gainesville girls' golf team not only picked up a win Thursday, they saw some hope for the future. <br>

The Lady Elephants (103) beat South Forsyth (110) and Lumpkin County (120) in a 3-way match at the Olde Atlanta Golf Club in Suwanee.<br>

Eighth grader Lauren Darnell shoed a bright future is possibly in store for the Gainesville girl golfers as she posted a 34 in JV exhibition play. Her score was 16 shots better than the best varsity score of the day, a 50 by GHS golfer, Lindsey Thompson. Molly Childers added a 53 for the Lay Elephants.<br>

South Forsyth was led by Megan Rainey with a 54. Melissa Palmer's 60 paced Lumpkin.<br>

West Hall's John Quillian posted a 75 to lead the Spartan boys over Buford 334-355 at Royal Lakes. <br>
<br>
In dual matches, West Hall stayed undefeated at 10-0.<br>

Buford's Ben Avery led the Wolfpack with a 75.<br>
