BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA - Chris Phillips went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and LSU pitchers allowed no earned runs as the Tigers beat cross-town rival Southern 13-2 on Tuesday. <br>

LSU (25-13) went up 3-0 in the second when Phillips hit a two-run homer to left center. Eric Wiethorn doubled in two runs in the third, Matt Heath then hit an RBI groundout and Wiethorn scored on a fielder's choice. <br>

Starter Clay Harris (2-0) went five innings and got the win, giving up no runs on two hits and no walks. Relievers Brad David, Justin Hill and Billy Brian pitched an inning each, allowing a combined two hits. <br>

Southern (31-5) scored its only runs in the ninth on a fielding error by LSU shortstop Aaron Hill that allowed Antoin Gray and Rickie Weeks to come home. Weeks had two of the Jaguars' five hits in the game. <br>

Starter David Mouton (3-1) lasted two innings and took the loss, giving up seven runs, six earned, on four hits and two walks.
