2002 Gainesville-Hall County Sports Awards Banquet

For over fifty years, sports in Gainesville/Hall County have played a major role in this community. Involvement in local sports builds successful programs for all ages, backgrounds, and levels of competition. With the fun and exciting opportunities provided by sporting activities, our future leaders are instilled with the proper values, disciplines, commitments and social skills that are a vital part of our daily way of life.<br> <br> The 2002 Gainesville-Hall County Sports Awards Banquet honors excellence in various categories of athletics and related fields in youth leagues and will be held Tuesday, May 21st at the Gainesville Civic Center. The event will be hosted by WDUN Morning Show personality Joel Williams and broadcast live on AM 1240 WGGA.<br> <br> You may nominate an individual/team for their athletic sacrifice and determination in the specific categories. A nomination form is available from any of the sponsors or online at AccessNorthGa.com. <br> <br> Tickets will be available early May for $12.50. Individual Tickets can be purchased at Pro Therapy, Gainesville Park and Recreation, and at our studios on Thompson Bridge Road. All group ticket sales need to be purchased through the Jacobs Media Corporation. A reception will begin at 6:00 p.m., followed by dinner catered by Outback Steakhouse with the program at 7:00 pm.
