Mundy's 67 helps Auburn build 11-shot lead in SEC Golf

SEA ISLAND - Jay Mundy posted a 3-under-par 67 Saturday as Auburn overcame a one-shot deficit to build an 11-shot lead after the second round of the 54-hole Southeastern Conference Golf Championship. <br>

Mundy's 36-hole total of 3-under 137 gave him a one-shot lead over Florida's Camilo Villegas, who had a 70-138. <br>
<br>
Auburn had a collective 2-over-par 282 for the day and held the 11-shot advantage with its 567 over both Florida and LSU. <br>
<br>
Tennessee was alone in fourth place at 581, followed by Georgia 582, Vanderbilt 585, Arkansas 589, South Carolina 591, Alabama 594, Mississippi 598, Kentucky 599 and Mississippi State 607. <br>

The final round is set for Sunday on the 6,885-yard Seaside Course at Sea Island Golf Club. <br>

In the race for individual honors, there was a two-way tie for third at 140 between Auburn's Will Claxton and Georgia's Ryan Hybl. Claxton shot a 68 Saturday, Hybl a 69. Another shot back was Vanderbilt's Mark Donnell after a 70.
