DECATUR - A front-seat passenger of a van was killed Sunday when the vehicle ran into the back of a bus and clipped a pickup truck on Covington Highway. <br>

The male victim, whose name was not immediately released, died at the scene, said Steen Miles, spokeswoman for the the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority. The accident happened about 3 p.m. near Panola Road, officials said. <br>

Miles said the eastbound bus was hit on the left rear side by the van, which then spun out of control and hit a pickup truck traveling west on Covington Highway. <br>

The driver of the van and another passenger were taken to the hospital. <br>
<br>
No serious injuries were reported on the bus. <br>
