EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Jason Kidd just missed a triple-double and New Jersey evened its Eastern Conference quarterfinal series at a game apiece by downing Indiana 95-79.<br>

Kidd led the way with 20 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists while the Nets held Jermaine O'Neal to 12 points on 3-for-11 shooting. O'Neal torched the Nets for 30 points in game one. <br>

Keith Van Horn had 17 points and Kenyon Martin added 19 despite playing with a sore right wrist. Aaron Williams had 15 points as the Nets earned their first playoff victory since 1994. <br>

New Jersey took control by outscoring the Pacers 31-19 in the second quarter. Kidd had ten points during a 15-3 spurt that put the Nets ahead to stay. <br>

Reggie Miller had 26 points for the Pacers, who host game three Friday.
