Two former Georgia women's players have been named to women's basketball coaching jobs at North Carolina schools. <br>

Sharon Baldwin - former head coach at Mercer University - was appointed head coach at East Carolina. Appalachian State named seven-year Furman assistant Adrienne Shuler as its head coach. <br>

The 34-year-old Baldwin - a native of Smyrna - played at Georgia in 1989 and 1990. At Mercer, her team went 16-13 last season, and she was made Atlantic Sun Conference Coach-of-the-Year. <br>

Shuler - who turns 33 on Wednesday - was associate head coach for the Paladins the past two seasons. A four-year player at Georgia, Shuler played for the WNBA's Washington Mystics in 1998.
