EAST RUTHERFORD NJ -- Bobby Holik, Brian Gionta and Brian Rafalski each scored for the second consecutive game to lead New Jersey's offense in a 3-to-1 win over Carolina. The Devils have tied the Eastern Conference quarterfinal series 2-to-2 by winning two straight at the Meadowlands. <br>

Holik put the Devils ahead to stay just 76 seconds into the contest. Gionta scored shorthanded later in the period and Rafalski made it 3-to-0 in the third period. <br>

Martin Brodeur was en route to his second consecutive shutout until Aaron Ward scored with two-33 remaining. Brodeur had 23 saves for the Devils, who travel to Raleigh for game five Wednesday. <br>

Arturs Irbe was pulled from the nets after one period. He allowed two goals on eight shots.
