MARIETTA - An attempt to use a counterfeit $10 bill to buy a biscuit in the Marietta High School cafeteria led to four students being accused of printing money on a home computer.
Bill Creel - assistant special agent in charge of the Secret Service in Atlanta - said one of the teen-agers printed at least $300 in $10 and $20 bills and offered it to the others.
The scheme was discovered when one of them tried to pass the bill in the cafeteria March 28th.
Marietta Police Officer Tanya Twadell said Wednesday that the school was the only place the teen-agers attempted to pass the money.
Twadell said Wesley Staton and Justin Dobson - both 17 years old - were both charged with first-degree forgery. She said two juveniles also were charged with forgery, but their names were not released because of their ages.
