MACON - Sparkle Davis' layup with 23 seconds left gave Paideia a 50-48 win over Randolph Clay in a Class AA girls state semifinal Tuesday. <br>

Paideia (28-6) overcame a 43-27 third-quarter deficit and allowed just one field goal in the fourth quarter to earn its first appearance in the state championship game. <br>

Davis scored 22 points and Jemeka Brown had nine for Paideia. <br>
