Spring sports in full swing

The West Hall boys&#39; tennis team appears to be the team to beat in the Hall County Tournament. The Spartans knocked off Riverside Military 3-2 at Alberta Tuesday.<br> <br> West Hall is 3-0 on the year and 3-0 in the County Tournament. <br> <br> Tuesday results (WH vs. RMA):<br> <br> #1 singles- Rocky Kandola (RMA) def. Joseph Pate 6-4, 7-5 <br> #2- Drew Wilkerson (WH) def. Ryan Jacobs 7-5, 7-6 (4) <br> #3- Blake Ivey (RMA) def. Matt Whiting 6-2, 6-3 <br> <br> #1 doubles- Steven Craig/Nathan Reed (WH) def.Henyen Sharp/ Creighton Nash 6-2, 7-5 <br> #2- Kevin Samples/ Mark Braza (WH) def. Jae Park/ Daniel Paysinger 6-1, 6-3 <br> Winning JV matches for the Spartans were: Jacob Vital, Michael Holland, Drew <br> Ivey, Daniel Sage, Khaled Khlifi, Philip Clark, and Casey Collins <br> <br> West Hall is scheduled to play GHS Wednesday, with the boys at Alberta and the girls at Longwood. <br> <br> In other tennis yesterday, the North Hall boys (0-2, 0-1 8-AAAA) fell to Central Gwinnett 4-1. The lone victory for the Trojans came at #3 singles from Kip Wright.<br> <br> North Hall is scheduled to play at Johnson Wednesday.<br> <br> On the soccer fields, Pedro Arellano had two second-half goals to help keep the third-ranked Johnson boys undefeated (5-0-1) with a 3-1 victory over Grayson in Loganville. Arellano now has 73 career goals for the Knights, two shy of the school record.<br> <br> The Knights will play host to Gainesville Friday night in a Region 7 AAA match up. <br> <br> North Hall&#39;s Scott Freeland scored the gamer for the Trojans with two minutes left in a 2-1 win over Lumpkin County in Dahlonega. The North Hall boys are 2-3 on the season. <br> <br> The North Hall girls went to 5-1, 1-0 in 8-AAAA as Ellen Shuler had another hat trick in a 3-2 win at Habersham Central. Goalie Anna Kathryn Higgins had 12 saves.<br> <br> Erica Breedlove&#39;s goal on an assist by Jessica Moses was the difference in a 1-0 Lakeview shut-out of Lumpkin County. Amy Coleman had five saves for the Lady Lions.<br> <br> On the golf links, West Hall beat Dawson County 165-178 in the boys match. Dawson won the girls&#39; side 114-126.<br>
