Flyers, Thrashers swap AHL players

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Flyers have traded Joe DiPenta to the Atlanta Thrashers for center Jarrod Skalde, who will be assigned to the AHL Philadelphia Phantoms. <br> <br> Skalde, 31, recorded 15 goals and 37 assists for 52 points and 71 penalty minutes in 64 games for the Thrashers&#39; AHL affiliate, the Chicago Wolves, this season. He was tied for second on the Wolves in points (52) and was second on the team in assists (37). <br> <br> DiPenta, 23, recorded six points and 71 penalty minutes in 61 games for the Phantoms this season. DiPenta was signed as a free agent by the Flyers on July 12, 2000. He was originally drafted by the Florida Panthers in the third round, 61st overall, of the 1998 NHL entry draft.
